The 2008 Lincoln MKX only comes in one trim level. The MKX is equipped with 18-inch wheels, a tilt-telescoping steering wheel, a reverse parking system, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and cooled power front seats with driver memory, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming mirror, the Sync electronics interface system and a six-speaker stereo with six-CD changer. Upgrades include 20-inch heels, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, heated rear seats, a voice-activated navigation system, a panoramic sunroof and an 11-speaker surround-sound audio system. The Elite Package incorporated some of the standard upgrades; the Ultimate, Limited Edition and Monochrome Limited Edition packages are also upgrades.

Sharing the same platform as the Ford Edge, the Lincoln MKX also shares the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine which produces up to 265-horsepower. This crossover also drives in either front or all-wheel-drive.

Standard safety features are four-wheel-disc antilock disc brakes, side curtain airbags and side-impact front-seat airbags. The Electronic Stability System and Roll Stability Control are also included in the MKX.
